The Best Fall Skincare Secrets

Hello, Fall 2024! Time to pull out the cozy knits, slip into those statement boots, and yes - give your skincare a seasonal refresh of its own. Let’s talk about the ultimate fall skincare secrets!

Why the seasonal switch-up? Crisp outdoor air meets indoor heat, and suddenly your skin is riding a rollercoaster of dryness, sensitivity, and dullness. The fix? Smart layering, and a few insider tricks that keep your glow effortless all season long. Consider this your fall beauty cheat sheet - curated, covetable, and absolutely necessary.

  1. Layer and cocktail. Add a serum under your moisturiser, or better yet, mix two of your favorites and then add your creme.

  2. Add a humidifier to your room. This small change will add up big.

  3. Lay off excess AHA’s, BHA’s and any extra exfoliation if you are really dry.

  4. Switch to a cooler face rinse, rather than a hot one.

  5. Add hyaluronic acid. Our bodies naturally produce it, but as we age, we lose it. This superhero ingredient works wonders. Plumping up the skin and improving its texture, leaving it looking smoother and more youthful, making any complexion look better in seconds. Well, what are you waiting for?

  6. Skip your morning cleanse. Do a cool rinse or micellar water, or switch to a creamy cleanser or oil cleanse. Then add a hydrating toner, vitamin c and moisturizer if needed, and always sunscreen.

  7. Switch to a thicker moisturizer if needed.

  8. Drink more water, and eat more healthy fat. Foods like fatty fish, coconut oil/olive oil, avocados, flax seeds, and chia seeds and nuts. Omega-3’s are so great for your skin.

  9. Up your Vitamin D. If you are deficient in D (which is a fat soluble vitamin) then skin can get dry.

  10. Eat collagen rich foods. Bone broth, leafy greens, berries and collagen powders.

  11. Avoid ingredients like refined carbohydrates (white bread, pasta, dried fruit) and dairy which cause inflammation, and thus dryness.

  12. Add a oil into your routine. Lightweight oils sit beautifully after serums, before moisturizer, locking in hydration without weight. Richer oils go last, over creams, sealing everything in and leaving a subtle, coveted dewy glow.

Seasonal skincare shifts are key to keeping your complexion flawless all year long. Curious about the products I swear by? I’m happy to share my top picks.

    Happy Fall Ya’ll xox
